A Retrofit Assessment is a combination of energy, condition and ventilation surveys carried out on the dwelling. They are dwelling specific and produce different outcomes dependent on the building fabric, services, usage and it's occupants. Our Retrofit Assessments will involve viewing and photographing all areas of the area, externally and internally. We need to access every room, the loft, the heating system and the meters so please make sure access have been made available. Retrofit Assessors need to be able to evidence their findings and report so that is why the photographs are required. 

A Retrofit Assessment can take from 45minutes to 1.5hours depending on the size of the property, surveys being carried out and any defects. We are always up for talking to you too about issues you face to ensure our report captures your needs.

Reliable Retrofit Services uses camera phones for our photographs, tape measures and laser measures. We also carry out borescoping surveys (drilling through the wall). This will be made aware to you if this needs to be carried out.

After the retrofit assessment has taken place, the retrofit assessor will use up-to-date software called RdSAP to work out the energy performance of the property. This software uses assumptions based on the building age to determine the efficiency. Any improvements that have been made need to be evidenced so they can be inputted into the software correctly. All our information gathered is available for third party use through the use of auditing, project planning, or data gathering.

The prices of Energy Assessments to produce an EPC start from £50. This is dependent on size of property so please get in touch for a quote.

For a SAP Energy Assessment this will start from a day date of £250 and a full quote can be given when the project outline and size has been discussed.

The price for a Retrofit Assessment starts at £180 for a standard assessment. Further surveys such as loft, solar, cavity, external or internal wall insulation will result in further charges. Contact us to find out more.
